The Riesling Kamptal DAC – available in severely limited quantities – reflects the loess-upon-slate soils so typical of the Kamptal around Langenlois, and the local climate, which is markedly influenced by the cool neighbouring Waldviertel region.
Stringently selected perfectly healthy grapes with high acidity, traditionally vinified in steel tanks with prolonged yeast contact in the Hofkellerei, to preserve the essential expression of the fruit. Limited edition.
Delicate yellow with green & silver highlights; aromas of citrus, delicate stone fruit, meadow herbs and a bit of citrus blossom. Ripe, taut and mineral-driven on the palate with fresh & lively acidity, fine spicy fruit and a nicely sculpted long finish.
Recommended with spicy cuisine, fresh starters and sophisticated fish preparations.
